Who we are
My name is Jeison Andres, and I have been working with dogs for more than 5 years. I am a certified dog trainer from The National Dog Trainers Federation (NDTF) of Australia. I have worked in three different countries: Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, in many cities, including Perth, Melbourne, Auckland, Vancouver, and Montreal. Also, I have had clients in small towns like Rotorua in NZ or Broome in Au, or in towns that not even some locals have ever heard of, like Halls Creek in Au.
This journey as a dog trainer started way before I did my training in NDTF. I started helping people with their dogs for free, and those people whom I met along the way were the ones who started paying me and encouraging me to pursue this career path because I was able to assist and control dogs that professional dog trainers couldn’t.
My passion is to help people. Some dog trainers think this is a dog business, but for me, this is a people business. If people don’t succeed, their dogs won’t either. And this passion was born because of my own struggles with my dog Choco, who used to be quite reactive to dogs.
This is Choco. He has travelled all over the places with me. He is a Murray River Retriever, a gun dog breed from Australia. He is a confident and friendly dog. He is always part of my dog assessments and part of most of the sessions one-on-one.
He has vast experience in sharing with all types of dogs. From dogs who are shy and afraid, to dogs who wanted to kill him initially. I really trust his decision making, and what I like about him the most is how good he is at giving dogs space and time when they need it. He rarely pushes another dog, and that allows other dogs to trust him.
