Sessions One-on-One

$250.00

The sessions one-on-one are focused on developing dog owners’ skills and building up their confidence as handlers. We work on the basics like leash handling, impulse control and how to properly read the dog. If we are doing these sessions is because I already know your dog and I know I can control your dog.

What I see with most owners is that they either don’t know how to read the dog or they haven’t built their confidence as handlers. I have met many owners who have sent their dogs to boarding trainings, and their dogs are great; but yet, they are still struggling with their dog. And that shows that the work must be done with the owners.

We start working in a controlled environment with no or little distractions on the basics. And as we progress, we begin going out for walks and work with real life distractions. This is where the purpose of the sessions are, the guidance and support in different environments.

People will quickly realize how different is to work with their dog in a session in a controlled environment like an obedience class and/or in a training facility. To what it is really like going out on the street and apply what you have learnt. The more people I meet in this industry, and they tell me their stories with other trainers. The more I believe that even some trainers out there try their best to not go out on public with their clients because they themselves cannot control the dog.
